Meet this week's student feature: Christine Singleton!

Swipe to read a short Q & A interview with Christine about being an English major and why she decided that route.

"Hey, y’all! My name is Christine Singleton and I’m an English major with a minor in Creative Writing. I’m a transfer student from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, but I’m a Richmond native. My research interests revolve around Diasporic representations of Black women in literature. In my free time, I enjoy making craft cocktails and watching bootlegged Broadway musicals on YouTube. I’m currently working on a collection of short horror stories and my first novel."

"Christine L. Singleton is an MFA candidate on the Poetry Track at the University of Kansas. Her research interests center Black women, rage, and the maturation process; cross-disciplinary creative writing; and poetic techniques across cultures."
